Happy Stampede!

Hi everyone,
yesterday Canyon and I watched his first Stampede parade on TV. It was so exciting, he fell asleep. Oh well, we'll just have to take him in person when he is older. We are planning to go Stampeding this week sometime and hopefully we will be able to take in the rodeo or the chucks.

Canyon continues to grow like crazy. Just the other day, I managed to get a picture of him holding his rattle. The most amazing part is how much he smiles. He is becoming very social and smiling everytime he sees a face. It just melts my heart.

Tonight we had our friends Sue and Pete over for dinner with their daughter Jaylin. She is soooo cute. I think we should have an arranged marriage. She is 5 months old. It is interesting watching others peoples children and seeing what Canyon has grown from and what he will grow to. Gerald cooked up a stuffed salmon on the bar b que. I hate fish but I must admit this was pretty good. I figure I have to make an effort to eat some fish from time to time - all those omega 3 fatty acids are supposed to be good for you.

Canyon and I are still enjoying our time alone together. Mommyhood is wonderful.
