9 Months Old

I can't believe that Canyon is nine months old. Everyone said that time would fly by but I had no idea it would be on a jet. Canyon has added so many skills to his repetoire. He is now sitting on his own and even crawling. He has been diligently working on improving his speed and the dogs now have to look out. He is also trying to stand up on things. He has now reached the stage where if he doesn't want to nap, he stands up in his crib. After a few times of putting him back down, he falls asleep on his face and then I go in and flip him over. It is soooo cute. Another of his favorite things right now is walking while we hold his hands.

Canyon and I are trying to be more active this year. We are still attending the Tuesday morning bible study and he seems to have a great time in Kinder College. We are also going to Mom and Tots here in Mckenzie on Fridays. There seem to be a lot of toddlers and few babies but there are lots of activities for him to do. I think he also loves watching all the kids running around.

Canyon attended his first birthday party. Sue and Pete's daughter Jaylin turned one year old on February 1 and celebrated with them on the following Saturday. He had a blast crawling around the other babies. He even felt he should have priority over the toys.

Lateley, I have been trying not to think about going back to work but it seems that my return to work date is creeping closer. I am returning to work in May and am not looking forward to leaving Canyon. I have been keeping busy of late by helping a couple of friends out with their kitchen designs. I have to admit, I love the design part and helping people build the kitchen of their dreams. Part of me is looking forward to doing my own thing again but I don't want to miss a minute of Canyon growing up.

I am also having a lot of trouble finding a dayhome for him. Everyone is full up. So I just keep looking online and asking friends. We did have an interview this last week with a woman who also has a son the same age as Canyon. I think this one may work out. I am a little jealous of my friends who are staying home with their little ones. It will be difficult to let him grow up without me being there. It is so cool just watching him figure things out or investigate things. He's just a cool kid.

Gerald is finally finishing up his two house renos. His hired hand decided to no longer show up for work which has put a strain on Gerald. He is working 12 hour days and it is starting to show. I helped him finish and clean up one of the homes while Grandma and Grandpa Anderson babysat. Then hopefully, he can finish up the other house in the next couple of weeks.

We are counting down the weeks until my brother and sister in law have their second child. Aiden has been spending more time with Canyon and hopefully he will be receptive to having a little brother around the house soon. Colette is in her 37th week and has finally finished work. Now we shoule be able to spend some time together with the boys before the baby arrives.

Well, that seems to be all the news for now. I will try and write more soon,
Ciao for now,
Michelle
