First Blog

Well hello everyone. This is the first time I have ever used a Blog. Actually, if it weren't for my friend Kristine I wouldn't have a clue as to what a blog is. After reading her blogspot, I realized what a great way for my family and friends to see and hear what is going on in our lives and to see how Canyon is changing. Canyon is now 7 weeks old and growing like a weed.

Here is his picture at 2 weeks old. We had them professionally taken at South Center.

This is Canyon with his Oma (my mom) at 6 weeks.

Today Canyon and I had a lazy day. I think all the rain made us both feel like kicking back. Canyon had an early morning bath which he seemed to enjoy and then a nap. Actually, Canyon slept most of the day but we did spend some cuddle time together on the couch while watching Cinderella man. I must admit, for a boxing movie, it was pretty good.

I have been trying to get Canyon to spend more time on his tummy but he hasn't become very comfortable with it yet so we only do it for about 5 minutes. His neck muscles are pretty strong and he is now lifting his head from his tummy position. Gerald always likes to have him sitting up and Canyon is pretty good at holding his head steady in this position as well.

The other day Canyon actually laughed in his sleep. He was in my arms and it was so funny to hear him laugh out loud. I wonder what he was dreaming about.

Gerald has been working on finishing up most of his big jobs this week. He only has one left before he starts taking on his next project which starts in July. He has also been trying to work on our house to try and finish up our renovations. The majority of the house is now complete with some little details yet to be completed. The main floor is only waiting on the master bath to be finished but when the weather is nice, Gerald prefers to work on the exterior of the house. Recently he has been prepping for siding and working on the front addition's sidewalk.
I can't believe how much we have already done on this house.

Well, I am gonna run. Its getting late and I will need to get ready for Canyon's bedtime feed.
