21 Big Months

This little boy keeps getting cuter and cuter. Ok I am a little biased. This week he has really begun using his words. If we ask him if he wants something, he is very clear about a yes or no. YAAAAHH / NO! He has been asking "what's this" and starting to point at everything and everytime we go outside he looks to the sky and says moooooon - even if there isn't one to be seen. His volcabulary is expanding like crazy. He can name all the puppies, point to pictures and name the people in them and repeat anything you say. He especially likes to copy everything that daddy does. When daddy drinks his cereal, Canyon drinks his cereal. He is quite the little sponge.

He usually starts his day watching TV (Thomas the train) while mommy and daddy get ready for work. He sings along to his favorite show "four square" and does the actions too. Like I said, totally cute.

Gerald is finishing up yet another basement project. Our project house hasn't sold yet so as a last resort we are going to try and sell our house and move into there for a while. Gerald did a great job on that one. He has such an attention to detail.

I am still enjoying work. I have been promoted to ordering product and managing inventory. A difficult task up to now since there were 3 other people managing it at once. It should be much easier now with only one chef in the kitchen. No A type personality here.

Christmas was fun for all. Canyon caught on to unwrapping presents and looked at every box or package and exclaimed "whoa". His favorite was his Tickle me Elmo. I always said I wouldn't fall for the merchandising tactics but he fell in love with it at his first day home but wasn't allowed to play with it so I just had to get him his own.

Speaking of dayhomes, Canyon is loving his new one. He has been going there since November and he loves it. Shannon has craft time and does theme activities. This week they are studying Red. So he comes to dayhome dressed in red and eats red foods. They learn the color and she tries to show them how to read it. She is so dedicated to keeping them active and involved. A huge difference from where he used to be.

Thats all the news for now. I will try to update again before he reaches 2 years ;)

Ciao,
M

Hi Bella,

Such a cute boy you have! It's so funny how Micah does the same things and say the same words...like the "Moon" when he looks up, or "Wow" when he finds something interesting :) Love it! Love it!

Must see you soon! Miss you, K
