Canyon's dedication

Hey everybody. Boy, I can’t believe how fast everything is flying by. It is hard to believe there is less than one month to Christmas. This year I am going to decorate like crazy. The last two years we were so involved in the renos that we didn’t decorate at all…. Not even a tree. Well this year is going to be different. Not just because of Canyon but also because I LOVE CHRISTMAS. I can’t wait.

Two weekends ago (the 18th) we had Canyon dedicated at our church. It was a wonderful day and we were so happy that our family was able to attend. Pastor Ray said a prayer for Canyon. Heather was also having Baby Maija dedicated.

This last weekend Gerald and I attended my friend Mira’s sons wedding. It was a beautiful wedding half in Polish and half in English. We had some time between the ceremony and the reception so Gerald and I took advantage of Scott and Colette’s babysitting and hit a movie in between. We went and saw “Casino Royale”. I must admit, I am not usually much of a bond fan but I really enjoyed this one. Then we hit the reception where we were fed a 5-course meal. I was stuffed. I must admit, I missed Canyon a lot (more than just for feedings). It was the first time we left him for a full day. I think it was a lot harder on me than on Canyon cause he was apparently a “Perfect baby” the entire time.

This week Canyon and I have been spending most of our time indoors. This –30 weather is not for me and Canyon has a case of the sniffles to boot. I have been very fortunate these last couple of days. Lately, he has been taking a 3 hour nap from noon on and giving me an opportunity to catch some clean up and gives me some down time too.

So now I need to start focusing on our Christmas shopping. I am at a loss for what to get everyone this year. Gerald’s family has made an agreement to only by gifts from the dollar store, which should make things very interesting. (that is if everyone sticks to it).

Well, not much more going on. Canyon at the moment is getting a bath from Jake, which Gerald thinks is pretty funny. They are watching the Flames game together on the couch. I better go rescue my baby before he is completely slimed.

Ciao for now,
Michelle

Hi Bella,
Glad to hear you are doing well. Congrats on your baby dedication! We definitely need to get together soon. Hey, maybe we can meet at the mall again and do our Christmas Shopping together with our boys :)
