SIX MONTHS OLD

Hi Everyone,

It is so hard to believe that my little boy is 6 months old. Wow time really flies. Last week was a busy week for us. He had his vaccinations and his 6 month checkup with the doctor. He now weighs 16 lbs 1 oz and is 27" in length. He is also sitting up all on his own (I have to put him into position but he does the rest). He has become very good at entertaining himself from that position. I think he loves the fact that he can see things from a new perspective.

He is also eating solids now. We have moved from vegetables onto combination foods. His first couple of bites usually result in a sour face but he always comes back for more. On the recommendation of my friend Kristine, I am now acting as his official food taster to make sure its perfect for him. I have also started to let him feed himself. I fill the spoon, give it to him and he stuffs it in his mouth. Its hard to get the spoon back cause he likes to rub it on his gums. I think he is well on his way to teething. He has been drooling way more than usual and his cheeks are sooooo pink.

On friday he and his cousin Aiden got dressed up for the McKenzie Lake community Halloween fun night. They were so cute. There wasn't much for a baby to do but look adorable but Aiden seemed to have lots of fun running around.

Gerald has been working on our own house for the most of this week. He wanted to get the stone installed on our house while the weather was warm. It would have been done but we ran out of corner pieces. Anyway, now he has started the siding on the front of the house but has been delayed by all the white stuff that showed up early this morning. Makes me think more about Christmas than Halloween.

Well, I should run. Canyon should be waking up from his nap shortly and will need to eat dinner. Today is beef and macaroni.
